Drake Now Available On iTunes

via: october's very own

It's phenomenal how successful Drake's music has been even without an official single in stores. Since February DJ's have been playing songs from So Far Gone, and he has been doing shows all over the world on the strength of this Mixtape. There has even been an attempt to sell a fake Drake album. Well wait no longer, the official first single Best I Ever Had is now available on iTunes, and he shot the video for it last week in NYC (directed by Kanye West)

Jamie Foxx & Drake - Digital Girl Remix (Conan O'Brien Live)

We love Drake, and we are very proud of him. But he could have looked up at the crowd or cameras at least once. Maybe his first national TV appearance got the best of him??

Drake on NYTimes.com

via @AFMpeetah

Early this week Drake finally touched down to NYC's SOB for his first formal performance since the release of his mixtape "So Far Gone". Read what NYTimes.com had to say about Toronto's rap-prodigy since Kardi.

Kanye on Drake:

Even though there is a friendly competeition between his own artist Kid Cudi and Toronto's own Drake, he puts all biases aside. Of course Kanye is referring to Drake's line in "Every Girl".

CONCERT RUN DOWN: Drake

via @AFMpeetah

Well well well, what a wonderful day in my neighbourhood. My apologies for the delayed review of one of the biggest concerts in TO history - I wanted to make sure I had all my thoughts together before I really got into it. So here goes 3, 2, 1...

LAMES

Besides the 100 and 1 bodies squeezing me up like a tight-ass tube sock, I really have nothing to note in this category, so you can skip along to the Fames.

FAMES
  1. The energy in the venue was absolutely amazing. What four grown, semi-famous and several album-releases-deep artists couldn't pull off... one young, fresh-faced, no-album & no-video having kid from the burbs did 10 fold. Read my review of the Rick Ross crap show.
  2. With over 2,500 eager and awaiting fans... Drake started his set, it was like one giant karaoke night lead by the world's greatest.
  3. Clearly, TO loves them some Drake [period]
  4. Lastly, I was able to get a good amount of video footage of the show... I have included it below for you viewing pleasure. And if you missed the concert, you can "Thank Me Later".

Drizzy Drake Doing it up in ATL (again...)

As the days go by more and more video footage is making it's way through the internets, and this probably can be attributed to the botched attempt to live stream this performance via USTREAM... *whomp whomp*

Anywayyyy, here's Kenny Burn's perspective of the concert. Pretty decent coverage and the sound quality is tolerable.

Check Drake out in Toronto Wednesday May 13, 2009 at the SOUND ACADEMY. Tickets can be bought online at ticketmaster.com.

NEW!: Page Ft. Drake - "I'm Still Fly"

It's Page and Drake holding it down for Tdot!
This song has been playing on Toronto airwaves for months, so it's only right that they made a video sooner than later. I love the use of The Big Tymers "Still Fly" sample in this song. Keep and eye out for the "Things Young People Do" mixtape.

MUSIC: New! Drake feat. Tanya Morgan "Right to Left"

This track features Tanya Morgan an unearthed gem from Drake's Comeback Season Mixtape recording sessions. Being mutual admirers of one another, Drake joined forces with Tanya Morgan for this track.

The beat gains strength from its aggressive drums, punchy synth chords and contrasting piano melody, and provides an ideal backdrop for this old-school crew banger. The track opens with a verse by Donwill, moves on to a verse by Von Pea, then a third verse by Ilyas and finally wraps up with a verse by Drake, each emcee spitting about why he is one of the best in the game.

Listen here.

Young Mulla!!!: Young Money - "Every Girl" (Very Explict Lyrics)

Here is the the most chauvinistic song of 09', but we know you ladies love it!
Weezy, Drake, Jae Mills, Gutta, and Mack Maine want to bang every girl in the world...

Chrisette Michele - "Epiphany" (Co-starring Drake)

After getting her start singing hooks for Jay-Z and Nas, Chrisette Michele is now solidifying herself as a Rhythm and Blues singer to be reckon with. This video co-stars Toronto's very own Drake as her soon to be Ex (how you gonna put his stuff out on the street? lol). Her sophomore album "Epiphany" is due out May 19th. Cop that!
