Steve Carty's "POSITIVES"

World renowned photographer Steve Carty has been making pictures of the not-so-famous to the top A-list celebrities known to man since 1992.

His images have been featured in magazines such as American Photo, Jane, Maclean's and The Source to name a few and some of his most notable clients include Nike, CBC, Universal Music and Paper Denim & Cloth.

This month Steve, along with Che Kothari and Jamel Shabazz will be showcasing their work at the SMASH Gallery located at 2880 Dundas St. W. Read more information on this showing.

In commemoration of this moment in Steve's career, he is releasing his first ever published book "POSITIVES". It is a limited edition full colour book featuring Carty's best portraits, fashion and urban culture images spanning nearly 20 years. For a preview of the book, you can download a digital copy. Published by Burke's Books, limited 500 copies, each book is numbered and signed by Steve himself. Presales have already begun and will be deleivered by May 29, 2009. The cost is $120 CAD.
